CHIEF OF CHIEFS.  Lemon Zest x Bellocq.  R2008.  Rosy-orange falls with a orange thumbprint signal marked by rose-orange veins and a gold line signal.  Standards broadly edge rosy-orange with a broad center band of pale yellow and darker center veins.  Styles cream washed rose at edges and on style tips.  Sdlg. 02-22.  Blooms midseason.  34”  SOLD OUT

 

 

DOG EAT DOG.  Zydeco x (Hurricane Colin x Sharon Juliette).  R2008.  Falls deep, velvety red.  Deep yellow orange arrowhead signal outlined deep red.  Standards reddish but lighter.  Style arms wine red.  Sdlg. 03-56.  Good branching.  Relatively large flower on a well branched, 22 inch stalk.  Midseason bloomer.  Makes a showy clump. 

 

LOWER NINESouthdowns x (Feliciana Hills x Natural Wonder).  R2008.  Light, creamy yellow self.  Lightly ruffled.  Styles creamy yellow.  Loosely defined orange signal area with greenish veining and darker orange center line.  36-38 inches.  Early to midseason.  Sdlg. 02-24.  Named for the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans, which was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. S0LD OUT

 

MISTER JOEPresident Hedley x Koorawatha.  Joseph Mertzweiller, registered by the Baton Rouge Botanical Garden, R2005.  Falls red with brownish undertones.  Standards red-brown over a whitish suffusion, narrow yellow line on some petals.  Style arms cream, light coral wash near tips.  Yellow steeple signal.  30 inches.   Midseason.
